Social Media Reaction Numerous buyers and vendors have taken to social media saying Vinted listings now show a modified sizing category than originally posted due to the recalibration. Vinted explained the updated approach better aligns with comparable marketplaces. It has advised users to check their listings and manually change the size if necessary, resulting in member annoyance. Size Classification Updates Earlier, the sizes had both one number and one letter, such as S/8 or M/10. The revised method features a letter with a size spectrum such as S/UK 8-10. With some products, the measurements have been reclassified - such as a large size was formerly size 12 but is now a UK 16-18. Member Experiences One content creator, who makes TikTok content about plus-size fashion, said the change "makes both selling and buying harder". "Rarely do manufacturers list XL as sizes 20-22," the way the service now categorizes. Stephanie Gallen, based in Glasgow, stated items she posted on Vinted with size 14 labels were appearing on the platform as size 20–22. "Should someone sized 20-22 purchase these they will likely be quite upset," she explained. Required Changes A different user, located in England, said she had been left angered because the modification necessitated personal updates the sizing for "all her products". "Personally, this is quite irritating, as I'm chronically ill and Vinted sales have been crucial following partial earnings loss," she stated. Service Background The service features exceeding 100 million users, with 18 million British users. It has emerged as a preferred choice versus similar marketplaces including eBay and Depop. This isn't the first time that an unexpected update to the app has proved unpopular: last year, the platform withdrew an update regarding delivery choices after backlash from users.
